The River of Health
At Port Moody Integrated Health, we think of your health as a river. At its source the water is clean and pure; the surrounding environment balanced and healthy. Yet as the river travels down the mountain it encounters pollutants that affect its natural state. Similarly, over the course of many years traveling downstream, your body can become overwhelmed by unaddressed injuries and exposure to toxins through the environment and lifestyle choices. And it is during this middle part of your journey downstream that symptoms begin to manifest.
Our practitioners are devoted to helping you uncover the conditions that are affecting your body’s natural ability to maintain balance and good health. We support you on your journey upstream and understand that the support you need may change over time. This is what makes our integrated approach to health and wellness so unique and effective.
We understand that the path downstream is an easier one. We understand that you will encounter rapids as you make your way upstream. Our practitioners are here to support you during these challenging times and teach you how to navigate the rapids you encounter on your path to optimal health. This is what inspires us; this is our commitment to you.
The Four Seasons Program
In addition to using the River of Health Program, Dr. Scott uses the Four Seasons Program in her practice. Prevention and maintenance are the basis of this program, with achieving a state of balance throughout the year as the underlying goal.
This is a collaborative program for those patients who are either heading upstream on the river of health or are already upstream. Dr. Scott works with her patients to equip them with the knowledge and tools they need to maintain an optimal state of health throughout the year, and then four times a year she helps to identify the issues each patient must address for the upcoming season.
The Four Seasons Program is ideal for children of all ages, pregnant woman, and adults who wish to prevent common health concerns. The four yearly visits help to prepare her patients for the four seasonal changes.
