Massage Therapy: Sue Macrae, RMT
Sue Macrae has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 1994 and during this time she has worked in various clinical settings as both a registered massage therapist and clinic owner. Sue joined Port Moody Integrated Health in 2000 as one of the founding practitioners.
When she is not at the clinic, Sue can be found running after her two young girls. She has also recently become a runner, completing her first half marathon. In addition to running, Sue loves getting outdoors to enjoy hiking, biking, and skiing whenever she can. She also has an extensive background in aquatics.
Sue earned a degree in physical education from the University of British Columbia, as well as graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. She has also taken post-graduate courses in Myofascial release; a specialized technique that focuses on the fascia of the body. Sue finds this technique very effective for releasing muscle tissue and promoting enhanced movement within the muscles of her patients. Other courses she has taken include core strengthening and stretching, and physioball exercises.
